The Bridge Project

Catch The Winter's Tale by William Shakespeare starring Simon Russell Beale, Sinead Cusack, Rebecca Hall, Richard Easton, Josh Hamilton and Ethan Hawke at the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay from 26 to 31 March 2009.

Directed by Sam Mendes (Academy award winner for American Beauty), this production falls under The Bridge Project - a new transatlantic venture between Mendes, Brooklyn Academy of Music and The Old Vic in London which is run by Kevin Spacey.

As Singapore Repertory Theatre is one of the five co-commissioners to have created this prestigious production, Singapore will be the first and only Asian stop on the world tour calender for 2009.

Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo Opened on 2 March

Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts have just opened their first hotel in Japan to much fanfare on 2 March. This 202-room hotel is located conveniently in a 37-floor, mixed-use building next to Tokyo Station.

To celebrate its opening, Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo will be offering a special stay package from now to 12 April 2009, a Deluxe room will cost JPY110,000 per night (tax and service charge excluded), including breakfast and opening commemorative gift created by Robbe & Berking.

Lunchtime Madness with Jetstar

Sake connoisseurs can explore an extensive range of sake such as Tamba Gura, and Kan Nihon Kai in addition to new Sake-based cocktails at Keyaki Bar, Pan Pacific Hotel.
