Dragon Boat Festival - A Season of Rice Dumplings

Is it time for Bak Chang already????

Dragon Boat Festival brings out the most fascinating rice dumpling creations. This year, Shangri-La Hotel introduces a new flavour, Treasures of the Sea for an OTT indulgence. Made with premium ingredients such as shark's fin, abalone and conpoy, this rectangular dumpling is available at only $38.50+ per piece (a bargain compared to some of the premium dumplings last year)

There is the usual slew of Shang Palace favourites such as Feng Cheng ($10.50+), Sweet Green Tea ($6.50+)or the vegetarian Five Rice Dumpling ($11.50+). If you'll like to try all, consider getting the Dragon Boat Dumpling Hamper ($55+).

A special 5-course menu ($68++) is also available for lunch and dinner at Shang Palace, highlights include Shanghainese and Cantonese appetisers, Mini Buddha Jumps Over The Wall and of course, Treasures of The Sea dumpling. A minimum of 4 persons are required to enjoy this.

Available from 11 to 28 May 2009. For enquiries or to place an order, call Shang Palace at 6213 4473.
